-NGE-
where can I find Darth Revan's robes or the Star Forge robes I see people mentioning? I'm finishing the game as darkside now and I would truly like to go back to the Revan outfit of black robes plus face covering mask...
eidospsogos
can't get them until the star forge.
-NGE-
and where on the star forge might I find them?
eidospsogos
they are in a room on your way to face bastila. on the same level as the elevator that takes you to the command deck. in a room with three computers, and what appears to be at first glance an energy cell. if you examine what appears to be the cell it says replicator bin. then go to the computer and use it. it allows you to replicate armor. and if you have mastered either the light or dark side will give you the option for the star forge robes if you mastered the light side, and revan's robes if you mastered the dark side. eidospsogos
yeah, it was really a nice little ending touch on their part i thought.
Jabbas WhOr3
OMG I totally missed that room, I reloaded at that point and got them ... sweeet +5wisdom Thats me.
eidospsogos
yes, they're pretty d@mn cool. i thought it was a nice little finishing touch. of course qel droma's robes have nice stats. just don't look nearly as cool. and if i wasn't so particular about exploring every area in the game i would have surely not found them myself, as the endless battles in the star forge did tend to get annoying. more so for me when you knew you had cleared an area and would be heading away from it, and yet here are more enemies running at you from a dead end that you just explored. so where the hell did they come from exactly? if you're going to have re-spawning enemies at least let them show up from somewhere where it would make sense. Venom750
Is that Tulak hords mask your wearing in the picture because i thought it was resricted to the darkside?
eidospsogos
nope. i would guess it's the circlet of saresh. of course it could be teta's royal band. the circlet is lightside restricted and teta's royal band is not restricted at all.
Vestril
hrm, has anyone managed to get through the game without gathering any dark/light side points at all? or at least neutralizing them as you get them? I wonder what would pop out if you were neutral...
lukeiamyourdad
Well it's probably really difficult. You're gonna have to piss someone off and help someone else. Being a Gray Jedi doesn't bring much advantages anyway...
Vestril
actually it brings plenty of advantages, you can use light and dark powers without any trouble. I think it would be mose useful to a Consular whose life is in the powers, because he wouldnt have to use those...less than handy powers (I'm not a big fan of most of the buffs...) but would get the advantage of heal and destroy droid (death field is useful...but I seem to prefer heal). Besides, it's not about the advantages the character has, anything that makes it harder makes it more fun, and getting to the end of the game as a neutral would, I think, be a challenge, but maybe there is something for it! But then...this is from the guy who's gone through the game as a light female, then a dark female, now on light male, and next will be... (try to guess ). lukeiamyourdad
The modifier are what pushes me to go either light or dark. Being a Gray Consular doesn't bring that much advantage since you have to pay full price for any force power. Anyway, I think after your discussion with Bastila in the Rakatan temple, you're kinda forced to go one way or the other. You get a LOT of LS or DS points depending on what you choose to do. You don't have any other occasion(or very little occasions to go back to being gray.
Vestril
sure, but a veteran could stockpile beforehand and my point was that whether or not you're paying full price, you won't be paying any penalties either...like Jolee
eidospsogos
oh it's very possible to do the neutral thing. the first time i tried i simply took the neutal solutions to quests that could give points either way. such as accepting rewards and thus nullifying the ls points. or answering things in a way that does not seem overly helpful, but not overly evil either. there are easy ways to avoid either alignment points during actual gameplay. BUT i did notice i jumped quite a bit towards the lightside at the point mentioned earlier by luke's dad so i did what vestril suggested and hopped afew planets back took alot of ds points, and then chose the ls solution to make myself neutral yet again. though i did not like the solution because it felt wrong. if you want to play neutral taking ds points just takes away from that. they should have allowed for a neutral option in the bastila unknown world confrontation. i.e. something to the effect of you don't try to turn her away from the darkside, but you don't side with her either. there were ways to handle this situation and remain in the grey area. and i don't like that they would leave something such as this out. especially since they made being neutral something of note in the game. you had a character solely devoted to the idea of alignment neutrality, and yet there was no option for taking this mentioned neutrality and truly being able to use it. Vestril
yeah, I figured it was something like that...but I was hoping they had accounted for it maybe in Two or an expansion! Bioware loves expansions...look at NWN lol...
Quillan
If you are neutral, you get a Star Forge Robe which you can't use! I had Jolee do one, which is how I found out. My PC and Jumani could both wear theirs, but the third one that Jolee cranked out came out as light side only, and he isn't. Apparently you get the Darth Revan's Robe if you are dark aligned, Star Forge Robe if not.
eidospsogos
hmmmm. i personally had no idea you were allowed more than one. that's news for me. so thanks. but yes the star forge robes are ls restricted. and revan's robes are ds restricted. maybe the star forge robes are generated for evryone you use it with because of you're alignment choice. though there is no way to test this. because if you go ds, none of your ls characters stay with you. i guess you could give yourself alignment points with the cheats just to test it out. but either way, the lack of robes for neutarlity wouldn't necessarily bother me, as long as the option for a neutral solution to the bastila situation was present, and all your hard-earned neutrality doesn't have to go right out the window just because you don't want to slaughter your friends. HertogJan
On my first playtrough, I played, making the choices I would make IRL... Well... sort of I accepted rewards, but helped ppl lots of times during sidequests... Although some ppl just deserved to die, earning me DS points... AFAIK, I ended as a grey character, which just is me And I didn't have any trouble with the game on that playtrough, although I admit it was on easy...
