Ok, now that that's out of the way....

I bought the "Russian" version of JA (LEGAL!) off of ebay, but when I install the game, it asks (in Russian) whether you want to install the Russian version or the English version. I pick English. Works fine, game plays fine, even multiplayer (for the few 1.0 servers left...)

NOW, when I try to install the 1.01 patch, I get the following message...

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy not found. Please reinstall the game from the original CD-ROM and try again.

It goes without saying that I've done this at least 10 times, with both the Russian and English versions. I've used Regcleaner to get rid of any residuals each time. I've deleted the game folder. I've tried installing it to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, C:\Jedi Academy, E:\Jedi Academy, C:\Program Files\Jedi Academy, C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Jedi Academy, etc. etc. I've tried every directory structure ever suggested on this forum (unless I'm missing a colon? I don't know.) The problem is, apparently most people see some kind of prompt asking them where to install it? Well, I don't even get that far!!!! I'm about to give up... I swear it's a legal version, but if the patch only works for the "US Version from the US CD" and doesn't work with the "US Version from the Russian CD" then why the HELL did they only release one patch and not a multilingual patch, if they are going to sell the game in many languages

I'm outta here. Yes, I will check back to this thread, but since I've NEVER seen anyone with this problem before, I figure I'm just screwed. This sucks.
