Jedi_Monk
Yo people, As a wise person once said, caucuses and primaries aren't about figuring out who's going to win the caucuses and primaries and then voting for that person (to be on the winning team, right?), ithey're about voting based on the issues, voting based on who you think has the best vision for America. I think the man with the best ideas and who would truly treat the problems festering in our democracy, instead of just slapping on a band-aid for 4 or 8 years, is Dennis J. Kucinich. Kucinich is devoted to bringing jobs back to America, providing work for everyone who needs work, providing universal healthcare, guaranteed education from pre-K through college, raising the minimum wage to a living wage, and he is devoted to peace and reconciliation across the world. The "war" against terrorism in which we are now engaged cannot be won by mere strength of arms. Death and tragedy, the two inevitable bi-products of war, are what cause people to take up with terrorists. We need the help of our allies; we need them now more than ever. But Kucinich says all of this so much better and more effectively than I could, at least... on an internet message board, considering... I'm not really saying anything, just typing what's on my mind Anyway, a bunch of tapes of Kucinich's speeches can be downloaded, free of charge, at his campaign site, www.kucinich.us. When I hear Kucinich speak, his passion blows me away, his ideas lift me up and give me hope! This guy isn't one we're used to seeing in politics! Listen to him, read his speeches, keep an open mind. and don't think for a moment whether or not he can actually win the general election in 10 months. If this guy's message gets out, he can invigorate the new generation and the legions of disillusioned! If we let the news media tell us who to vote for, where does that leave our democracy? This guy could change this country for the better, return power to "we the people," and rein in those corporations that are bleeding us by sending our jobs overseas and charging outrageous premiums for health insurance (and that's just the tip of the iceberg). Vote FOR someone, not just AGAINST someone. Remember this: the future is not set in stone, it is ours to sculpt into whatever shape we would have! wassup
You know, from what I read about him, I'm starting to like this guy. If you take a look at his issues and listen to his speeches, you notice that he doesn't attack the Bush adminstration half the time like Dean or Kerry, and puts more emphasis on what his ideals and plans for Presidency are. He seemed firm and not subjective to political pressure in his ideals and beliefs and as a politician I admire him for that. My only concern is whether he can gain more popularity among the voters before this election year is over. Hopefully people can spread the word before it is over. Maybe that's why people won't vote for him... cuz everyone just wants to insult Bush. At least Kucinich has the brains not to insult the incumbent president, not that that is a good or bad thing. hey, does he have his own web site? Cuz if he doesn't I'll like him even more, tho I can't vote yet. Darn it!

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding... I just went off topic and stated that I simply cant' vote yet. If I wasn't a Republican I would, tho. rccar328
Speaking of Dennis Kucinich: he supposedly "understands the rap culture" I thought this story was hilarious.
