pbguy1211 Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 The only way for someone to build a small army of them is if you're in an infinite resources game... or if it's a MEGA noob game. However, due to their incredibly slow reload time they're very easy to defeat. The best is when people get wiped out by them and say: "oh you're a noob for using ACs!" As they then have ZERO defense for them... when they're the obvious noobs for not being able to build a few friggin fighters and kill them before they get there... AoM decided to restrict settlements to counter the problem, but since SWGB was just building on the AoK engine, ACs were the best choice. Sithmaster_821 Posted February 4, 2004 Share Posted February 4, 2004 Actually, AC were meant for space maps, where, if both sides heavily invested in AA turrets, it was an unbeatable stalemate. They tend to prolong land games due to their ability to wipe out large armies, effectively giving the defender with an AC the advantage.
