Recruitable Dustil??

There is already a mod that allows us to recruit Yuthura. Would it be possible to have one to recruit Dustil? Per example, if you go DS and chose to spare Uthar instead of Yuthura in Naga Sadow's tomb he could allow you to take Dustil with you once you have revealed your true identity to him.

Update (2004-03-22): I'm getting started with the mod. Would appreciate suggestions and comments on the proposed dialogues for this mod (see posts below).

I'd like to keep Carth! I think that despite all his whinning the game would not be the same without him. (If you don't like him and play DS just imagine his suffering at the end when he would see his son follow the Dark Lord to destroy the Republic - it's worse than death!) Dustil could replace T3 or perhaps Juhani if she was killed on Dantoine.

I'll try do do the mod. There's already a similar mod for Yuthura and lots of ressources in this forum so I sould be able to get through this.

I think the best thing to do is to replace T3 since replacing Carth could create some proplems later in the game such as on the Leviathan (if not done) and the Rakatan world. Same thing with Zaalbar: you wouldn't be able to get through Kashyyk.

A few questions before I get started: has anyone played with Yutura in their party until the end? What happens during the cutscenes on the Unknown world where T3 has a few lines? Does the game runs fine in those sections?

Light side version:

I think I' ll begin with the light side version of this mod since it's easier the only thing that needs to be done is to have Dustil join your party when you save him and add a few dialogue lines. No need to add much to the storyline.

DS version:

Once I'm done with the light side version (if everything goes fine), i'll get into the DS version that i mentionned at the beginning of this thread.

For the storyline, I think that the DS version should be available only after the Leviathan when your true identity has been revealed.

This is the type of story and dialogues i'd like to include:

In Naga Sadow's tomb, after Uthar recognizes you, you would speak to him about one of the academy's promising students, Dustil Onasi and request him to allow Dustil to follow you to help you in defeating Malak. You would say to Uthar that in exchange for his collaboration he would be rewarded accordingly once you defeat Malak. Uthar would accept and say that he would speak to Dustil.

However, i was wondering on how to deal with Carth. I think that the first time you speak to Dustil, there should be a sort of neutral dialogue option that would not lead into a fight. After this, you could say to Carth not to worry, that you will find a way to "save" his son. Once you get back to the Ebon Hawk, you would tell Dustil not to speak to the others about the real reasons why he is following you.

What do you think? Would appreciate to have suggestions.

Thanks.

Well to access the DS version you would have to keep Korriban for last to get the new dialogue options. I was thinking that it makes more sense for the DS storyline. But that's just my opinion. That's why I'm asking for suggestions.

When you get the Star Map on Korriban and leave the academy, you can't get back inside.

If you spare Uthar in the Tomb (which is only possible if you don't cross him), you can come back to the Academy anytime. :)

I think that too but given the conversation is unlocked when you do this I find that it fits the DS storyline pretty well. When I play DS I always let the Master live and kill the apprentice.

This is what happens when you let him live:

Uthar will ask who you really are. If you tell Uthar that you are Darth Revan or if you tell him that if he wasn't bilnd he would already know, he will bow before you and call you "my Dark Lord" and will tell you that if you succeed in defeating you ex-apprentice he and all sith will be your servants.
