Ok, I followed richdiesels mapping tutorial for water(clicky), but I had a problem with it. I created my pool great, but when I started choppin it up with clip it royally screwed up. Here's pics of what it looks like now...

It doesn't show the water animation on the top, and it doesn't act like water either. I downloaded the example map file from the end of the tuts, and it didn't wok either. It showed the animation though, but it didn't act like water. Here's what the brushes look like...

map2.bmp

those are of course raised to show the textures. any help here?

i don't have caulk_water(1.4.0 won't even start on my machine :( )

Is there anyway that someone could send me this to use in 1.2.9?

EDIT:I somehow fixed it. I don't knopw how, but it worked. I'ld still accept the caulk_water texture/shader.

Oh!! Geez my mistake....:p

Yes Wade is correct. In JA water_caulk is the way to go. Works great. And NO..you can't chop up water brushes unless they are 90 degrees or rectangular in shape. As long as the sides are perpendicular. Any other shape of water brush will most likely turn solid.

"Any other shape of water brush will most likely turn solid." - not if you always cover the entire brush in caulk_water then texture visible faces only with a water shader.

If you use the clip tool on brushes that will become water then after clipping, select the entire brushes and re-apply the caulk_water as the clipper tool may be caulking the splits.
