Krytin
1st. Is there a way to work on only one side of a face? I wanna make carth look like he got the crap kicked out of 'im but I just want one black eye, not the same thing on both sides. Just makes it kinda look like he's wearing make-up like that. 2nd. I did some work on sith armor, I dropped it into the override folder, but nothing shows up. Looks normal. What else should I do?
messkell
1. no. the texture is aligned/mapped to the model the way it is. the half-faced texture covers both sides of the head. 2. "normal"? do you mean without any gloss, or shine? if so, you need to save the image as a 32-bit tga(this will leave its' pre-existing alpha channel intact) hope that helps. Krytin
I mean it still looks like normal sith armor. Can't tell that I've done anything to it.

svösh
The thing about the sith armour is it has a dark alpha channel What this does is tells the game engine to ignore the standard skin and use a shader in stead the shader in question is envmaptexture CM_Baremetal if you see this on bandon, malak, reven, and you want to get creative open the file in photoshop go to the channels hit Ctrl+ L (levels) You will see two sliders focus on the bottom one to minimize the amount of shader used simply drag the black point over to the white point. To get the all the characters looking like they are wearing the sith armour simply drag the white point over to the black point. Alpha’s work like this 100% white is solid (opaque ) 100 % black is hollow or ( transparent ) If you want to see what you have changed on the sith armour simply drag the black point over to the white point so it is almost completely white you will still have a semi gloss on the model but the shader will not be as apparent and you will see your design J I hope this helped a bit as for the mapping of the faces what you do to one side is reflected on the other so no luck making Carth look half beaten. (what did he do to you any ways ?????) svösh
shosey
hmm, photoshop - I"m lost already My retextures usually consist of changing to black and white - then changing the brightness and contrast I"m not very artistic - haha
