I was just playing the 'Smuggler's Alliance' level, and found out that the birds of Naboo appear to have shielding technology. !!!!!! Really. Toward the beginning of the level, right after you save the first homestead, you come upon a second homestead under attack. There is some kind of bird flying around there that I chased for about five minutes on a heavy STAP. I nailed that sucker twice, and each time the shot glanced off the bird as if it had shields like the droid fighters. How can this happen? ------------------ "Beware the bearded one."

What first time I heard about this was when I entered the code to here the commentary the folks at Factor 5 and Lucas Arts do on the game. The birds can be "killed" but there was a problem when the designers set the birds as actual blips on your radar. What happened was that the STAPS attacked the birds and they would go down in flames... so to prevent this they took the birds off the target lists... (if that made sense)... the reason for it going down in flames must be cause that's how the game is programmed... anything airbourne that is registered as destroyed must go down in flames... heh ------------------
