wedge2211
When you open the entity window (by pressing the N key with an entity selected), you should see two text boxes at the bottom labelled "Key" and "Value." These are what's referred to in that instruction. If you don't see the model, that one might have been a JO model not included in JA. Try one of the models listed here. Jedi_Vogel
Alternatively, create a misc model and if you've extracted a load, you are prompted to find the md3 file and you can just double-click away and voilà, you have a model
Scorpia
in the tut it doesnt tell me to load the model up it tells me to do it through ententity window
hgwall44
this is still kind of on the same subject. ..... but when you have a misc_model say a tree one, (i think this is right but i forget name), how do u apply the physics_clip so well. Ive seen some maps where it about perfectly blends with the tree i have the hardest time with this. I have heard you just have to keep cutting it and what not untill it fits. Is that true? lauser
hgwall, there is no need to clip perfectly. Just make a square or even a physics brush with four sides or even six to clip a tree or any model. There is no possible way that you can tell how well a model has been clipped ingame UNLESS it's WAY off the model. Or unless you step on a root of a tree and your foot goes through it...but that is so minor it's not worth it man. There is a way to clip models perfectly. But using this for anything OTHER than terrain will just bog down and lag your map.
Jedi_Vogel
Scorpia, then follow the instructions in the tut to do it through the entity window I did the same til I figured it was easier to unpak the models and double click them
