Achilles
Hi everyone, I'm trying to build a custom saber, but I'm getting stuck at the .tga part(s). When I double click a .tpc file (using the KotOR tool), I recieve the following error message: An unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will shut down immediately. The format of the file 'ImageTools' is invalid If I click Continue, nothing happens. The KT help file states that tpc2tga.exe must be in the same directory as the KT along with a tga viewer. I cannot install tpc2tga (assuming that the file that I have is an installer, rather than an stand-alone executable). When I double click on tpc2tga.exe, a window appears for a split second and then disappears. I installed the recommended tga viewer, but that doesn't seem to help either. I'm at my wits end, folks... Any help that any of you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Achilles
Doom_Dealer
are you sure when you extract the texture you put .tga at the end of the file name. i.e when you extract N_Mandolorian you name it N_Mandolorian.tga this converts it into a tga file. Also, i dont mean to be rude, and i think its great that your getting into modding kotor but can keep the threads to a minimum please. Youve made a new thread for every single question, can you not just use this one from now on?

Thank you! As for the other, consider it done.
svösh
Hit the write file button instead in the image viewer tpc2tga you can't go wrong then open in your paint progy that saves the file at 32 bit with alpha channels* this very important or your image will not work svösh

Unfortunatly, I've yet to successfully open tpc2tga.exe. I tried saving files as .tga's as Doom Dealer suggested, and that doesn't appear to work for me either. Any other suggestions are welcome. Darth333
Did you drop tpc2tga.exe in the same directory as kotor tool?

Darth_ToMeR
You don't need tpc2tga. Download the newest version of kotor_tool, open ERF->TexturePacks->swpc_tex_tpa.erf And all the textures are here. In P you will find party members, PC's armors and robes, and in N you will find other important textures, like Revan and Malak. Double click on tpc file will open a window with the texture, then just click "write" button and save it.

I posted it earlier in the thread, but if you think it would help I can try to get a screenshot and send it to you. Let me know and TIA. Achilles
I moved the kt.exe to another folder without moving imagetools.dll also. Once I moved it back, the editor worked fine. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
