Samuel Dravis Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Hey, I made these a while back and haven't really used them, so I'm sharing them if anyone wants to put them in their sig. Copy and paste the code into your sig, removing the spaces. Just copy the top text to your sig (the links are to the images so you can see them). razorace Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 That reminds me, we really need to clear up the whole OJP icon issue. Phunk wants it finalized so he can use it on his website for MovieBattles.
Samuel Dravis Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 About the icon thing, I'll see what I can come up with as the whole 'JP in a circle' was scrapped. Anyway, here's a nice link button. [ url=ojp.jediknight.net][ IMG]http://ojp.jediknight.net/images/ojp_button.jpg[/img] OR <A HREF="http://ojp.jediknight.net"><IMG SRC="http://ojp.jediknight.net/images/ojp_button.jpg" TITLE="The Open Jedi Project: A Mod for Jedi Academy"></a>
Master_Keralys Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I had a thought on the logo actually. What if you had something with a large O, slightly smaller JP, with a lightsaber's hilt centered in the O and the (probably blue) blade pointing right through the JP, like so: OJP Only larger, obviously, and with the lightsaber. The OJP would all be silver (chrome?) on a black background. Underneath, it reads, "The Open Jedi Project" in a much smaller size but the same font. Just a thought.
razorace Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I think the white on black icon that was popular in the icon thread should be the icon....unless we come up with something better.
keshire Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 Try it with the saber going vertical through the O and the Jp being slightly smaller.
Master_Keralys Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 Okay, I like what you did, Keshire. SD, that's pretty close (except that, as in Keshire's the JP are smaller). And I like both so well... it's hard to say. The only thing I think I like better is the combo of the two: a green blade shooting through with the hilt on the left of the O (just like in keshire's except on the left and pointing right) and with the blue one coming down as in keshire's, sparks coming off the two blades in the middle. And the JP would be aligned with the center of the O so that the green blade would go straight through them (almost like in SD's, but obviously with the J+P smaller). I think the white on black icon that was popular in the icon thread should be the icon....unless we come up with something better. About the icon thing, I'll see what I can come up with as the whole 'JP in a circle' was scrapped. OK, I'm confused. First we say "stick with what we had" then we say, "that one's been scrapped..." Any help for me here?

Any help for me here? Several people had expressed the opinion that the 'OJP in a circle' ones looked too much like the Jurassic Park logo. Here's a couple of them if you weren't able to see them on the thread: The one Razor was talking about:
Samuel Dravis Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 JediServers.com now has our button on their links page. Yay!
Master_Keralys Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 Yeah, I remember those - I tend to agree with people who think it looks too much like Jurassic Park logo. JediServers.com now has our button on their links page. Yay! Excellent. Does OJP have a link on the jk.net site yet? I haven't been there enough in the last week to be able to find out... I think the white on black icon that was popular in the icon thread should be the icon....unless we come up with something better. I personally do think these ones with the sabers going through are better... but that's just me. Maybe when they're done we can run a poll or something.

I haven't been there enough in the last week to be able to find out... No, there's no link to OJP on jediknight.net. I'll PM Kurgan about it. Feel free to try to make some of your own. The more, the better.
razorace Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 They said we need to add in their ad code before they'll link us from the main site. I've PMed you the code.
Samuel Dravis Posted June 2, 2004 Author Posted June 2, 2004 My inbox was full. I cleared it out, so please send it to me again. EDIT: Got it. It's really big (120x600), so I don't know about sticking it on the site. We'd want something at least as big on jk.net.
razorace Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 I'll ask real quick about it but I doubt we can get the size changed.
razorace Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 keep in mind that these guys are our server hosts so we don't exactly have a choice.
Samuel Dravis Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 No problem - I was just wondering whether it would be an good tradeoff, since the ad takes up 1/8 of the screen.
Samuel Dravis Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 Well, I don't think everyone that visits the site will be as lucky as you, Razor.
Samuel Dravis Posted June 10, 2004 Author Posted June 10, 2004 JediKnight.net now has a link to us under "Hosted sites". I added the ad to our site, and I guess it doesn't look too bad. Sorry, I hate ads. EDIT: Aha! Dark Forces Mod has our button on their site too. Hopefully someone will come to the site and actually comment on the news posts now.
