cchargin Posted May 24, 2004 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Hello all, OK, I need help. I have run into some problems trying to fully extract a model from kotor. I need to know if there is anyone out there that really knows 3D modelling with max and also max script. You see there are some options in kotor models that do not appear to exist in NWN models (like scaling a trimesh as in a lightsaber blade). So the NWN importers for max would not import them when/if I figure out what they are. So someone has to modify the scripts. Also, some kotor models follow the rules, and some don't seems to. For example most of the models use a time key and a quaternion (total 5 values) for orientation in an animation, but the rancor model uses only a time key then 2 numbers (total 3 values) . Some one else also appears to have made to have a model compiler/decompiler I hope we can test it. I used the v2 convert on the sabers just yesterday I tried a standard one a short and and malaks all of them had the quad blade the short and malak’s unwrapped effortlessly however the standard saber when unwrap was a nightmare.
