TripleM25
I wanted to use an existing player model and change the head and hands for another species. What do I need to do. So far, all I've done, is, using 3ds max, deleted the old head and hands, and put the hands and head where they should go. Do they need to be capped? What steps should I take, and do I have to do UVW mapping, or can I use the existing UVW mapping. The head I'm using also already has been UVW mapped, but do I have to redo that for my model? Basically, can I use the existing skin from the already made models and how do I go about attaching a new head and hands? Head and hands were taken from another model. Psyk0Sith
-Yes they need to be capped or you will see a hole when that body part is cut off. -If they already are uvw mapped, they dont have to be redone, just assign their original texture and they will show up in max. -Heads and hands have to be detached for the hierarchy, just make sure they line up properly with their "parent mesh": If you know your way around in max, you can either snap them into place or attach them togeter (weld the verts) and detach them back where needed (for the hierarchy).
