deathdisco
Well with Doom_Dealers new tutorial out, here's my stab at a new area. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/587-tomb-of-exar-kun-by-deathdisco/ or here: http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/62/? It's not finished yet, but I thought I'd give you a peek. Don't go without your party members. It gets kinda hairy:p Basically you meet Exar Kun's ghost and his minions in the ruins on Yavin IV. I haven't written the dialog yet for it, It's using the basic dialog from DD's tutorial. I won't release the robes in the screen shot for it until the new area is finished. Also I'll consider changing his appearance if there is a general consensus on what it should be(like say at least five people agree on a model). Keeping in mind it has to be a model that can equip a robe. Edit: It's finally finished! My first real mod:D Update: Slight tweak to robes.(nothing noticeable) You can now skip through conversations. Fixed moduel name in the area file, so savegames now read "Tomb of Exar Kun" From the Readme: --------------- Exar Kun's Tomb --------------- This Mod Lets you visit Exar Kun's Tomb on Yavin IV, where The ghost of Exar Kun will try to seduce you to the darkside. ------------ Installation ------------ Extract all the files in the override folder to your 'Override' directory. Extract all the files in the modules folder to your 'modules' directory. All source scripts are included in the nss folder. ------ How-to ------ Travel to the Yavin spacestation. Upon returning to the Ebon Hawk you will be presented with the option to travel to the ruins on Yavin IV. or Open console by pressing '~' and type "warp ekun". ----- Notes ----- To uninstall simply delete all the files extracted to your Override/modules directory. Thanks to: Doom_Dealer for the New Area Creation tutorial. TK102 and Darth333 for their script examples posted in the Holowan Laboritories forum. Darth Khasei
Thanks. Got to play it just now. Good job. Did it take you long to make it?
deathdisco
What you got didn't take that long. The finished version was another matter. The most time consuming was putting together the scripts. It took a coulple of days. It probably wouldn't of been that long if I actually knew the scripting language. I was going by trial and error. I'm Including the source files so hopefully they will help sombody else out. Some of it is stuff all ready posted here and some I figured out on my own. Let me know what you guys think about it. Darth Khasei
OK I'll the new one a shot. I think I would like to enlist some help on a mod idea that has been burning inside ever since playing Kotor arena and Survival mods. They have some unlimted potential to be expanded on with all of the historic Dark Lords and Jedi Masters in the historical record. The matchup possibilities are countless. Exar Kun is a favorite. deathdisco
uhhh......I think this is a stupid question, but what do you do with the .rar thing? Download Winrar. It's file compression software like Winzip. http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar330.exe Then you will be able to extract the files from the .rar archive. Darth_ToMeR
The .nss file is just the source to the .ncs file. You can delete it.
Sh4rP
hmm i cant seem to get this to work!? ive extracted the files to the specific folder override and modules.. but i try the warp ekun that doesnt work or if u leave the yavin spacestation to board the ebon hawk.. wierd. any ideas? Btw that nss folder where does that go [ and yes i have winrar ] thanks
Helter
ummm.... So what do I do with nss? WHere do I put it? This is the first time I have ever seen/dl an add-on. I read the read me but I still don't know about the nss files.
deathdisco
Unless you plan on modifying the scripts used in this mod, you do not need to extract anything in the nss folder. Make sure you are extracting the files within the folders, not the folders themselves. In your modules folder goes: ekun.mod In your override folder goes: ekmod.ncs ekun_armor.uti g_i_mask25.uti i_mask_025.mdl i_mask_025.mdx I_tetas_head3.tga ia_revan_005.tga ii_mask_025.tga PMBJ05.tga yavinarea.dlg yavinarea.ncs yavinarea.utd

Allronix
Thanks for this mod. It was one of the first I ever installed, and was incredibly helpful in helping me learn how to make mods of my own. I have written my own dialogue for the mod, with reactions from most of your party members, and would be glad to share it with your permission.
