Whoopknacker
From StarWars.com This was in the Clone Wars animated shorts. In a surprising move, the Separatists attack the remote world of Rhen Var. As the Jedi soon discover, it is the first step in a Confederacy plot to assemble an ancient Sith weapon of mass annihilation -- the Dark Reaper. Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead their forces on the scattered battlefronts of Rhen Var, Raxus Prime, Alaris Prime and Thule to stop Count Dooku's scheme. Looks like fun. joesdomain
I am not too thrilled with Lucasarts choice to use Rhen Var. Of all of the star wars planets to choose from you would think they would choose planets that were seen or heard in the 6 films. They could of use Courscant, Alderran, Dantoonie, Kessel, Ord Mantell, Sullust, etc. I am just disapointed in this game now. I thought this game was suppose to renact famous battles and fights of the two star wars trilogies not use expanded universe characters and planets like ArcTrooper, darktrooper and Rhen Var. Plus, not having the Imperial Officer and Imperial Navy Guard makes me upset too.
BurnsU
Remember this is Lucasarts we are talking about, you should've expected some EU. IMO, I think EU is great when it comes to games, as it adds some variety so your not stuck with strictly the movies. Without EU material, the game would have 5 planets and Pandemic would have a problem making the game balanced. Anyone agree with me on this? joesdomain
I don't agree! There are more than five planets in the first 5 star wars films. You have Dagobah, Alderran, Courscant that are seen in it. Kashyyyk could of been used. Corellia, Kessel, Ord Mantell, Dantoonie, Sullust, Malastare, Mon Calamari are all good planets to choose from. They were mentioned a little with the exception of mon Calamari and Kashyyyk. I just love those two star wars planets. Homeworld of Admiral Ackbar and Homeworld of Chewbacca. But it would involve EU to fight in all of those places, since the only place you mentioned that is actually a movie fight is Kashyyk. So technically, the fight on Tatooine in Battlefront is EU, along with Kamino, because the only fights that happened in those places are EU fights. See my point? Master William
Well actually it is quite known that the Empire had outposts and troops on many many planets, and of course Tatooine was one of them. The battle we'll fight in Tatooine is just random stuff I would guess. It's not a famous battle, but it's pretty known that the Rebels and the Imperials fought on Tatooine. I think the worst planet so far is Kamino, god what a dumb idea. And damn I'm jealous of the Xbox version, it is very good looking

joesdomain
It may be eu but at least some part of the planet is seen or heard in the films whether it be a character mentioning it by name. I know there wasn't any battle in the films on planet kamino. Technically speaking the rebels did fight the empire in episode IV on planet Tatoonie because Han was fighting stormtroopers before taking off. We also see stormtroopers patroling mos eisley wandering the desert looking for R2 and C-3P0.
