insanellama
I haven't seen much talk about the separatist vehicles...the only one i know is that rocket launching one...are there any more?

jdtech
Well I know of the Hailfire Droid (rolling rocket), Large Spider Droid, Droideka (although not a vehicle as such), AAT Tank & thats about it. I don't think there will be STAPs, although we don't actually know that there won't. I hope we will be able to use STAPs & MTTs. Cheers, John
SITH_ShadowCat
You forgot droid star fighter...And I'm guessing that the STAP will be there mostly do to it being in The Clone Wars game, why does that matter you ask? Well they already reused the tank from CW, model and everything in Battlefront, so why not reuse the model of the STAP?
joesdomain
I figure you will have Hailfire Droids, Dwarf Spider Droids, Homing Spider Droids, Trade Federation Tank, Droid Starfighter, and STAPS, and I am hoping for a TF Tank used in Battle for Naboo in Episode I. Thrawn
I would think the STAP would be in the game as the prequel version of the speeder bike. It would seem to me that they would need to have vehicles for both periods that serve the same basic functions.
joesdomain
They have Naboo as a planet and more than one map! I would think the STAP, TF Tank, and other episode I Trade federation vehicles would be in the map including the Naboo Starfighter.
jdtech
In TPM you see STAPs, AATs (these are the Trade Federation Tanks) MTT & Droid Starfighters. Also you see little vehicles that hold Battle Droids in rack, they can be run independant (as seen on Landing in the Swamp scene) or inside an MTT (see in Battle on the Plains scene). I should hope we can use the MTT as an equivalent to the AT-AT, as the MTT is the biggest droid vehicle used by the Trade Federation. I hope we get - STAPs - Equivalent of Swoop AATs - Equivalent of AT-ST MTTs - Equivalent of AT-AT Hailfire Droid - The Rolling Rocket Dwarf Spider Droid Homing Spider Droid Droid Starfighter that can transform from Flying to Walking (seen in TPM at the very beginning) The only Trade Federation Tank I know of is seen in TPM and is called the AAT...I believe most of the vehicles seen in AOTC used by the Separatists are used by the Commerce Guilds etc. Although I could well be wrong here. AAT MTT Cheers, John
Global Strike
[*]Droid Starfighter that can transform from Flying to Walking (seen in TPM at the very beginning) Cheers, John Yeah, i only saw this for the first time the other night when i rented it. :jawa
MaximumMayhem
Let's not forget the Geonosian Starfighters that featured prominently in AotC. Im sure they will be a strong rival to the Republic's Attack Gunships, or even the V-19 Torrent Starfighter (If Pandemic have gone so far as to introduce this craft into Battlefront, then I will be impressed indeed!). Ive noticed that the troopers in Republic Commando do indeed have New Zealand accents... Needless to say, ill be keeping an eye on you sound people at Lucasarts / Pandemic! Best Regards - Steve
joesdomain
The Geonosian Fighter is a definite at least in the Geonosis map.
jdtech
Ah yes, I forgot the Geonosian Fighter, which is part of the Geonosis map. (Suprise, surprise ) John
joesdomain
Does the Geonosians actually fight on the Separtist side and attack the republic side during the game? Are the Geonosians computer controlled? That is what I would like to know.
jdtech
Yes, I believe they fight with the Separatists, but they are computer-controlled, like all other natives on the planets. I've just got a little question, on Naboo, there are going to be Gungans in the battles, but I would not have thought they would be in Theed, so maybe there is a swamp battle? Or battle of the plains that we haven't seen yet? Cheers, John
joesdomain
We have heard Naboo is going to have at least 2 maps. It will probably have a map of Theed City and one map for Naboo Swamps. I doubt they could replicate Gungan City since it is underwater.
MaximumMayhem
I think one of my worst fears as a Clone Trooper would be to fight out a hard battle and capture a CIS point, only to hear a loud rumble. Looking over a hilltop, seeing a HCE Seismic Tank slowly hovering over to our position.. That beast of a contraption gives a new meaning to POWER SLAM. John: To answer your statement regarding what kinds of technical aspects each major member of the CIS has brought forward into the war: the Commerce Guild pledged it's Dwarf Spider Droids and Homing Spider Droids, whilst the InterGalactic Banking Clan provided the Confederacy with the dreaded Hailfire Droid. The Droid Foundries of Geonosis are a perfect example of the impressive technological stranglehold of the Techno Union. It is they who supplied the majority of the hardware used against the Army of the Republic in the Clone Wars. Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids aswell as Droidekas, Geonosian Fighters AATs, MTTs and pretty much most every other vehicle seen utilised by the Trade Federation forces during the events depicted in Episode I. Were it not for Tambor swearing assistance to the Confederate cause; it would have been doubtful that Dooku could have formed an army strong enough to successfully attempt to overthrow the Republic. I seem to be rambling on, so ill pipe up Best Wishes - Steve PS: According to one of the Designer Diaries, a new CIS vehicle called the MAF will make a debut appearance in Battlefront. As far as I can tell, it may very well be an airfighter of some sort.
joesdomain
I hope that sesimic tank from Star war Clone Wars animated shorts does not show up. I dislike that idea.
