MaximumMayhem
Im already upping certain aspects of my PC in anticipation of this game, but one lingering question remains.. How will the vehicles control? Im talking namely aircraft here. As an avid player of Battlefield 1942 (namely, Desert Combat), I pretty much stay away from the fighter jets and choppers as I dont own any kind of flight joystick and am quite poor at flying the vehicles effectively with keyboard and mouse. Vehicles in Unreal Tournament 2004 are a snap to control with a k&m combo. The only aircraft in the game works on a hover principle. Ie. it behaves like an aggressive helicopter; so having a key for forward, back, strafe left and right, aswell as jump for up and crouch for down is dead easy. I cant imagine the same for control of a Republic Gunship. Does anyone have any ideas as to whether or not Steve will also have to buy a flight joystick? Thanksyou muchly - Steve

Tyler_Durden
I'm sure that the controls for moving and strafing will play into flying an aircraft which by the way has been said to control a lot easier than other games by using what the devs call "star wars physics". The controls in the battlefield games for flying are horrid and i could never quite get a hang of it either so i never really flew a chopper or an airplane as ten seconds later it would be eating dirt or water. so hopefully this game's flying controls will be a lot easier to get a hold of and we won't have to worry so much about crashing. Also, past lucasarts games have had gamepad and joystick support so if push comes to shove, i'll just use my pad to fly.
