[USA]-bLaSt
I've read in a number of different places of people announcing that they are going to make a movie using the JA engine (I'd like to announce that I quit smoking... soon as I finish this one ). Anyway, has this actually been done yet? I'd be curious to see the results. I threw together a test flick of a simple duel. I shot this with NO plan whatseover and NO plot. Most if it is one lone jerky camera pan as well. I did it mostly to work out the process because I think my clan is going to try this. http://209.35.36.185/Test_Duel.mp4 You need (I presume) a recent version of Quicktime to view this. I'd be interested in anyone elses experiences/opinions doing this. Thx. Of course comments are welcome too but I know it's kinda stinky as it is... but like I said, it was just a "screen test." lukeskywalker1
Aye, I am currently one of those undergoing such a... umm.. project Its called Star Wars Redemption, I prefer scripting. Not many people have done this, Kengo and Lassev are probably the only other people who have done this. Ive recorded a trailer... (Yeah, I know.. people are like... its just a trailer... but...) It shows off a lot of what the JKA engine can do, and thats only like... half of it. http://jediknight.filefront.com/file.info?ID=27783 -The trailer Check it out, it gives you an idea as to what you can do in JA, if done correctly. Thats just the trailer... ive got shots of the real thing: Take note of the 2nd shot, the commander (voice acted by insane sith) is leading a squad of troops in a desperate search for a rebel spy, on coruscant. Notice there is a tie flying overhead; impossible to on a JA MP server. At least.. cant get it that good, you cant even the get the troops to behave in that order. It looks imperial, and it feels imperial. (No offense to anyone who films in MP)

Lindsey
None taken However I'd like to point out that filming in MP allows for more fluid moves from people. Not to mention you get some unplanned for but sometimes good actions.

lukeskywalker1
Yeah, a saber battle is well... basically impossible to script unless someone makes the battle with 2 animations (one for each duelist) but.. thats a lot of work. Thats how they got Jaden and Alora to fight in the Taspir 2 level. If set up correctly, you could have a few scripted thing in MP to take place, and even NPCs doing stuff, so... you could combine both methods, scripting and MP acting...
