Resign Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 hi all, every time i play jka for about 30 min, the screen frezes and it looks like this : PIC i've tried to format and installing the most recent drivers but nothing, my comp specs: p4 2.8 512mb ram Ge-Force FX 5600 128 mb Windows xp pro funny thing is, i only have this error playing jka and call of duty, i can play the other games just fine. any ideas?
Amidala from Chop Shop Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Try running in the game's Safe Mode or with the lowest quality (fastest) video settings. If it works, slowly increase the video quality until it starts having problems again, then back off. If it does it no matter what after 30 minutes, it's probably heat buildup from marginal cooling capacity.
Kurgan Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Yeah, look like you may need some better cooling! Check your case fans.. are they still running full speed? Maybe you need some more, or even to crack open the case (make sure it's turned off when you do this) and get a box fan blowing on the insides to cool things down a bit more. Put the AC on if you can in the room with your pc. That's of course assuming you've run all the pc tests present in the "system analyzer" utility that's installed with JA and found on the JA cd's.
