LAN support?

Does Star Wars Battlefront have LAN support (ex. Tony Hawks Underground)?

I host a lot of online & offline LAN parties, and I can usually get 4 - 5 people running decent online, but when there are more, I usually just resort to LAN. Plus, it's more fun because you know EVERYONE that is playing under your server, so no cheaters.

Thanks for any help!!!

For PS2, you just usually have to switch the connection from Internet to LAN.

Then it just brings you to a screen that shows a normal-esque online screen, start a server, and it will only be available to the people around you.

Nice thing about the LAN, you don't need internet access, you just need a router/hub. That rawks. :D:atat: :atat:

Still didn't answer my question. I asked how do you set it up. Baby step it. i have never done it, like what numbers do you type in for a LAN connection? Is it your ISP or what. How do you switch from internet to LAN? I have a router, I can play PS2 and surf the web at the same time, I guess thats what it is. How do you set it up. Step by Step.

I believe you start hosting an Lan game the same way you host a Internet game (you just choose lan instead of internet).

Then other players can join the lan game as the would join an internet game, they just have to specify they want to see lan games listed in their game browser.

I don't believe you have to type any numbers. It's exactly the same as setting up an internetgame

What he said.

You choose "play sw battlefront online", then instead of having internet selected, you make it be "lan".

Then, everyon else there does the same, you start a server, then they are on.

No typing at all!

Just to let you know, LAN games can only be done by having multiple computers or PS2/X-boxes hooked up to one router. I don't know how you set it up because I've never tried it. So if you have something like a PS2 and Comp set up to one router, you won't be able to play games between the two, only 2 or more of the same platform.

To make a LAN game for your multiple computers (I don't own a X-box or PS2) you just hook an adapter up to each computer, buy a router, and presto! you have your own private little network in your home! (I recomend a wireless network) And then ingame you would want to host the server then all your friends would join the server, add a few bots, and your playing a LAN game! In my very humble opinion LAN can in some ways be better than internet play because you're playing with your friends (or enemies ;) ),then latter on during school or work you can rub it in that you whooped everyone! Second its a easy way to get back at people, once while playing Halo I was driveing a Worthog (Car) and I was sort of mad at the gunner so I drove up that one REALLY tall cliff in Halo's Blood Gulch map and right after driving over the plasma grenades I jumped out of the car to watch the car ,and my friend,go tumpling down the cliff to there epending doom. Works every time.:D

I think it's also worth noting that LAN games will support more players than online -- for both PS2 and XBOX. I think I read it will support 24 instead of 16. Very cool ... only I don't know that many other XBOX players, or have the space in my little apartment to host it ...
