Donkey Posted August 19, 2004 Share Posted August 19, 2004 With the realaese and possible sequal of Disneys, Pirates of the carabian, the most Monkey islandy film ever made, being so popular. Why havent lucas arts made a Monkey island film, it would simply be Pirates of the carabian, but alot better, and Disney wouldnt be able to sue, as they simply ripped of monkey island anyway! I personally would love to see a film version of the secret of Monkey island, it has the depth of Indiana Jones, its a genre that is big at the moment, a lot of ideas such as insult sword fighting would need editing, to fit live action, but the root beer killing ghosts, grog etc would make a spiffin film. And before you say nah it wouldnt work, dont forget that this is lucas arts, they make good films, and brilliant games, its not like wing commander, Tomb raider, final fantasy or resident evil.
