Battlefront World Championship's Call to Editors

The Star Wars Battlefront World Championship will begin in June of 2005. It will consist of 32 of the best clans in Battlefront. More information is available in its thread in the clan forum.

 

Now, I think it would be really cool to have a contest, a mapmaking contest. I am putting out a call for the very best Star Wars maps editors can make by June 5 2005. By that day all maps must be sent to a comittee. This commitee will judge the maps. From that the top three maps will be chosen. The 2nd and 3rd place maps will be used in the semi final matches and the 1st place map will be used in the championship match.

 

Now, there are numerous benefits to entering your map, especially if your map is one of the 3 best.

 

1. You get huge exposure. if your map is one of the three best you will immediately be exposed to the thousands of players who will be participating in the qualifying and championship tournaments. That means you will be better able to sell your stuff.

2. You can better improve your map making skills. The comittee will be critiquing every map. The best way to learn are from mistakes and the comittee will make you aware of them.

3. The winning 3 maps will all be recognized as official World Championship maps which means that as long as Battlefront is around, so will those maps.

 

Now, obviosuly you can't start making the maps right now, however you can start making ideas. Post any here, along with any questions. More details will follow.

As I said in a diff thread, no ones sure yet IF theres gonna be map making tools by then, dont assume there will be.
