general griff
Guys i have got a solution for the freezing and setup problems with a 6800 in grafix settings. I have used the 65.76 beta nvidia drivers. No lockups or crashes. The only issue i have now isi get a blue screen of death running dawn of war. It is also doing it with other games as-well, so its a specific issue with my machine. Try the 65.76 betas with a 6800, they worked for me I get this error http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329284 Anyone help at-all. Frigging typical isnt it? Fix one problem, then another more f*=-**/ing serious one comes along to bring despair to Pc owners.
Crow_Nest
Are you using SP2? I heard it causes problems in some applications
general griff
Did it with SP1 and SP2. Its a hardware issue. Am getting a replacement 6800 tomorrow so will see if its that. If its not that its the processor overheating. Funny thing is i never had problems with this setup on WIN2K. Could be running out of power maybe..... sorry to go off topic
Crow_Nest
Do you have a 480-watt power supply? Dont forget that a 6800 requires it. The BFG 6800 Ultra OC only requires 380-watt.
general griff
I have a 480 watt thermaltake supply. That should be plenty for a 6800GT right?
Crow_Nest
For a 6800 GT yes thats already good enough. Unless its a 6800 Ultra
