Deguello
I realize this sounds silly, but I'm unable, after several dozens of tries, to survive the fighter attack upon leaving Taris. I've tried changing graphics res, and searched the boards for solutions. There's always at least one left, and the Hawk blows up. Tried warping, but that screwed up the savegame and Dantooine quests too badly to tweak in KSE (with my near-nil level of expertise, anyway). I've seen and installed the "no random fighters" mod (and know that won't solve *this* problem) but what I would appreciate help with is a (simple, hopefully) way to get past those fighters, and on to the rest of the plot. Ideally, with the Taris quests marked as finished. I've got a savegame just at the point of boardng the Hawk on Taris, and KSE v.2.08. I'd certainly appreciate the help. Darth333
yes it is possible: go to Globals --> Booleans (note I take into consideration that you are ONLY skipping the turret game - I haven't tried it so I may be missing a few things) Set the following to 1 (click yes): DAN_BASTILA_AT_JEDI DAN_BASTILA_AT_JEDI k_vis_Dantoine Now, go to Globals --> Numerics and set: K_KOTOR_MASTER to 10 K_CURRENT_PLANET to 15 k_TURRET_SKYBOX 255 (not sure if it changes anything) M12AB_START_SYNC to 2 (this one also concerns the turret game) K_LastPlanet to 10 Tar_droid = 15 don't forget to click Commit changes. You can also try my new mod Easy turret games: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=134704
Deguello
Thanks very much, indeed! I'll try your mod(s) first, and then if that doesn't work for me, I'll give your recommended KSE changes a try. I'm only able to play KOTOR at home on weekends, since the PCs I use during the week don't have the graphics ability to handle the game, but I'm looking forward to trying this out next weekend. In case you were wondering, one of the reasons I have so much trouble with the turret (aside from sluggish movement) is that my LCD monitor invariably throws an error message up in the middle of the screen at the start of the turret sequence, telling me that the screen has changed from optimal resolution. By the time that I clear the annoying message box away, the ship's hitpoints are down below half, and I can't figure out how to disable the monitor's attempt at being helpful. I suspect that one or the other of your mods will solve the turret problem for me. Thanks again.
