Jally Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 What does Battlefront have that makes it special and not just BF1942 with different models and textures? Theres also a BF1942 mod called Galactic conquest which is just BF1942 with star wars themed textures/maps/models. Is there anything in Battlefront that splits it part from the 1942's and BF:V games. At the moment im pulled between Battlefield 2 and Battlefront. Battlefield 2 is an extreme improvement on the Battlefield style of play.

It's different because everything is extreme: The teams are totally different form eachother. Not all factions have a tank, a plane and a ship like in battlefield, but everything is different.

Everything here is completely different, the star wars feeling as well, and stronger infantry. (you cant capture spawns while in vehicles) go for battlefront jalls or at least till bf2 is out
Mountainforest Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 You also have special units (big deal) and bonusses (darth vader etc). In battlefield, you don't have a 'tactical' nuke to make one map unplayable in some kind of conquest idea like in battlefront.
