AlBundy Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Everytime someone puts up a link for that site, and I go to it, it never loads up for me and then I get a search option, (like the site wasnt found) can anyone help me fix this problem?

DarthBuzzard Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 what i do is i right click it, select open in a new window, then (in the new window) when the error page comes up, just click the back button and you get to the site. works for me every time

Did you try reading any of them? Also, what do you enter for your search? When I searched using "pcgamemods problem" I recieved this and when I looked down the list of results I saw this I hope that helps.

Are you on a dial-up connection? Just curious.

I honestly dont have the time to search threw 8 pages of topics, and I thought it would be easier to make a new topic, I just feel like im being patronized here for some reason just because im new.

Well, one word will certainly provide results, however just like any other search engine, the more detailed you are with the criteria, the more detailed the results will be. As you were able to gather today, we talk about pcgamemods a lot in this forum. Searching for "pcgamemods" here is akin to searching for "internet" in Google. Moral of the story is that you might want to be a little more specific in the future. As in any forum, we like to keep things fairly uncluttered. Therefore it is a little frustrating when someone creates a new thread for an issue that is being/has been discusses somewhere else. Surely you understand PS: If you can't take the time to look, why should we take the time to explain it again? Most of us would prefer to help people with new mods than spend our time using the search function for others who can't be bothered. Sound fair?

Prime Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 It has to do with a conflict with some other software on your system, possibly Kazaa.

For those of you who have used Kazaa, if you run a scanner like Ad Aware, and look through the corrupted files it picks up, usually half of them will be from Kazaa.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Then again I just replaced my hard drive and I'm not getting that again, almost certain that caused it since my problems started after I got it. But then again it could of gone just on it's own.
