dark jedi 8
Xbox demo on Trilogy: coolest thing happened. my friend got an advanced copy of star wars trilogy earlier today and included is the demo of battlefront which is pretty cool. graphics kick ass for all the comotion going on and believe me there is a lot going on. there is a kill limit of 150 (reserve) for each side first one to 0 loses. you can be rebel or imperial and the only planet is endor. for rebels you can be the vanguard, wookie, or soldier. i must admit the vanguards weapon kinda sucks but the wookie is really handy w/the fusion cutter and medpacs. the bowcaster is powerful but has a recharge time. for the imperials you can be the pilot, scout trooper, or stormtrooper. i didn't play the pilot, the scout trooper and his gun were awesome and the stormtrooper was pretty cool but kinda slow. i must admit the ewoks although annoying for imperials and handy for rebels are damn fun to shoot! the button layout is pure and couldn't get any better IMO. i only had about 20minutes to play all this b/c i had to get home. the rest of the time i watched the special features on the trilogy dvd. and the EP.3 preview was pretty cool. Can't think of what else to say except that in my 20 minutes of playing i'm definately buying it on tuesday NO MATTER WHAT and i suggest you all do the same! JediCrow
I wonder why they only let you play 3 classes per side in the Xbox demo but all of them on the PS2 demo. Weird.
twruhl
maybe some thing having to pay for rights..

JediCrow
But isn't that all kinda moot since the DVD Trilogy with the Xbox demo of BF comes out the same day as the actual game?

Shock Trooper, not particularily sad as I won't play Hvy Weapons much, Pilot good, Sniper good and no Dark Trooper! As for Rebels, I'm glad the soldier is still there and the Wookiee and the Vanguard will be useful vs AT-STs. So I'll say that LA made an okay choice on cutting down for the demo... Shame the PS2 one gets all the classes, but never mind... Cheers, John

JohnnieG
I played the demo yesterday. Seems really cool. 3 classes per side , but I'm presuming that is just for the demo and the full game will have more. I have to wait till the end of the week for the PC version comes out. How can anyone play a FPS on a console ? I was playing on my Nephews Xbox.
fred1234
I have never had a problem playing FPS's on a console. I play them on both the xbox and the pc and i actually prefer the xbox. I prefer to play rts's etc on the pc. It is just easy to control on the xbox control pad you dont have to reach all over a keyboard or remap keys to play them. But each to his own I suppose
stupid__git
the trilogy demo was created before the PS2 demo which means its older. could you tell me if you need the xbox DVD playback kit to play the xbox demo, ps. im so psyched about the game im buying a copy for the Xbox and PS2
Connavar
No, you don't need the playback kit to play the demo.It just takes you to the screen where you select either the demo or special features. Obviously, if you select 'special features', it asks you to plug in the kit:)
jdtech
Damn, I've just bought the DVD kit as I thought the Demo would require it... Oh well, I might want to play DVDs on the Xbox sometimes, so its nice to know I can. John P.S. And yes, I was trying to put a bright side on wasting £18... Connavar
I don't have a seperate dvd player,so I use my xbox anyway. Not had any luck with the 'Check for Live updates' part. This demo is meant to be playable online isn't it?
