FunSolo
..on the most d/l´d items on the pcgamemods-page, for example: the sword of the npc mendah: its just the green icon of the sword but no name or description.. or some of the selfmade revan(/starforge)-robes, same problem. i made everything the readme´s told me. but still no change of things. any opinions for troubleshooting? Darth333
Item descriptions/names originally made in English won't appear in other versions of the game unless they refer to a line in the original dialog.tlk
FunSolo
hm, thats dumb.. cause im usin the german version.. is there a way to fix that, without changin the german dialog.tlk with the english one?
Tanesh
You can open the files with the GFFEditor and search for the name and description fields and change the Language ID to 2 for German. Or you simply use the English dialog.tlk file.
FunSolo
is it hard to edit it? im d/l the editor right now, but i never modded on my own, and i can barely understand the tutorial here..
Tanesh
Nah, just open the uti files with the editor, and look for "DescIdentified", "Description" and "LocalizedName". If there's something added, change the language ID from 0 to 2. That's all.

Err...what file are you trying to open the the gff editor? You have to open the .uti files, not the dialog.tlk file.
