why is the darktrooper main gun the same gun the rebel pilots have? the crappy golans arms blaster cannon????? why not kit out the darktrooper with an emp mortar launcher gun like what the jettrooper in clone army has, but no, they gave the mortar gun to imperial pilots...um helloooooo?????

shouldnt the imp pilots have the same crappy blaster as the rebel pilots.????

give the imperial pilot gun to the darktroopers and give the darktrooper gun to the piulots. problem solved.

 

looks like the darktrooper mightve been too cool. what were the devs thinking? that the darktrooper was too overpowered with a mortar gun and a hover ability, so they turned the hover into a jump and give him the crappest weapon on top of it. i think they should make the darktroops hover like clone jet troops and at least make their golans arms blaster cannon a modified version so it does more damage than the crappy rebel pilot gun.

The Darktrooper is the most used imp class, and you want to give a better gun. And you claiming it because the game needs to balance the weps? Its called CLASS balance.

 

Plus the gun owns up close. Play with it some. But if you try sniping with you'll be dissapointed. Though its not too bad for hallway suppression.

If the Dark Troopers had the grenade launcher they would be way over-powered. You could just leap over someone and fire the nade straight down. The maps would become little more than nades raining from above.

 

The Dark Troopers' main advantage is their mobility. You can't go and give them a kickass gun on top of it.

Um the clone trooper has an Emp launcher that takes 2 seconds between shots within the same clip, 5 seconds to reload, and only 2 shots per clip with 3 clips. The jet trooper, while truly a cool class to play is NOT all that. Their weapon is actually worse then the darktroopers due to the slow refire, slow reload, and limited ammo, and slow movement of the projectile (easily dodgeable, but again that's the cost for being able to kill anything but Droideka's with one shot and having the utmost in mobility (their jetpacks actually recharge ALOT faster than the DT's). DT's have a better weapon than the jetpack trooper, and the jetpack trooper has better mobility (though I'd still like to know how bot droids can shoot me out of the air at extreme range as I circle strafe while players can't come near hitting me).

 

Edit: And I rarely see a game end quickly in the republic's favor, UNLESS EVERYONE is on the Republic's side. Most games I see with the server auto-assigning teams results in a very close game right down to the wire, especially on Kamino where the Clones should have the advantage.
