TK209
Hi All, I've got an nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 64MB card. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this card will work for BattleFront? I looked at a box in the store yesterday, and noticed that the GeForce2 MX cards were not supported. The salesperson didn't think any of the MX cards would work. If this card won't work, could you please give em a link to a list of all supported cards. I haven't been able to find one yet. Thanks for your help. Andy867
According to their FAQ, they say this" Posted on LucasArts.com Star Wars Battlefront NVIDIA GeForce 2 and GeForce 4 MX Chipsets When playing Star Wars Battlefront on a graphics card with a NVIDIA GeForce 2 or 4 MX chipset, you may experience the following issues: * You may experience excessive load times and the game may appear to lock up at the Loading screen after selecting a map when the in-game resolution is set to 1600x1200. If this occurs, we recommend that you select a lower resolution. * You may see poor frame rate in the game if the in-game resolution is set to 1152 x 864 or higher. * You may see ghosting on the screen when FSAA is enabled. Disabling this option corrects this. * Enabling Distortion Effects in the Video Options does not affect the floor or columns in the Ice Caves of Rhen Var Harbor. To me, this indicates that Battlefront supports both GeForce 2 and 4 and the MX chipsets.
