How do I do a roll ?

When I'm on foot, how do I do a roll ? I've looked at the manual & also the in-game key mappings, and can't find it anywhere. Guess that it must be a combination, not a single key press. Pity they left it out the manual, just like they didn't mention how the jeypack works......

Strafe right or left, then press the jump button.

 

It doesn't work if you strafe while walking forward or backwards though at the same time.

edit: dang you beat me to it but you can look a bit to the side and strafe roll so you roll forward

Maybe it should be added.
