Marksman 1st Class???

My friend and I have finally stopped playing other games to take time and play XWing Alliance. We have two questions bugging us.

First. Is Marksman 1st Class the highest skill rating you can get? Our rank is going up fine (cadet, captain, etc) but the skill rating at least for myself has been frozen at Marksman 1st Class for about 2 battles now and the percentage to next rating isn't increasing. We've speculated whether we have to go back and do the training missions or something else but so far for myself, doing those has not reaped any benefits.

Our other question is whether there are any good multiplayer mission packs available out there. One thing that did disappoint us was the lack of multiplayer abilities with XWA. We were hoping for the chance at some cooperative action through the game instead of having to replay the missions. For some odd reason, replaying the missions co-op after defeating the 2nd Death Star solo, just isn't very appealing.

Thanks in advance for any help

A bit of info from the Readme file, which you should have already read...

In the single player campaign, pilots can earn up to Marksman 1st Class.

Which means you need to get into the simulator...

Up to Ace 1st can be achieved by flying single player Skirmish Mode

To get the higher pilot ratings go online...

Kills against human opponents count towards all rating levels.

Is it me or does nobody read the readme files????

I know. I quoted it at lest 5 times for the ranks and/or ratings. People should see if they can get the answers ON THEIR COMP before asking about it...

Why is it that whenever someone says SOL I am always in trouble... whether it be Standards of Learning or (the other version). I'm always screwed.

Thanks for the info. Maybe next time without those assinine read the readme remarks. I've been playing games for over 8 years now on the computer and less than 5 percent ever had a readme worth reading.

He kind of has a point there. Most readme files are worthless pieces of garbage that put you to sleep after the first three lines. smile.gif

Yes and many readme files are from versions long past that are irrelevent and unhelpful to the version you're actually playing.

It's a loop...companies don't put a lot of time into the readme, so the content isn't there and people don't read them much...the companies know they don't read them, so they don't put much time or effort into writing them....players know they don't put much time or effort into the content of the readme...so they look over them...and on and on and on, hehe.
