El Virus Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Thank you VampireNaomi for your words on the story about Celso I'm writing on Fanfiction.net, I don't know if the translation is Ok because I've got the game in spanish, so I have to do it myself. I'm going to coninue writing chapter 2 (about his journey through Petrified Forest) once I finish writing a Script for one of my school's plays, I wish I can finish it soon. PS: I'm going to change some things, as his Petrified F. journey is kind of ilogical. (If you haven't figured it out I'm XanaduZero)
James Isaac Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 That's some nice fan-fiction, keep up the good work And, can I please feature it here with the other GF fan fics on The D.O.D.(My Grim Fandango fan site)?
El Virus Posted October 1, 2004 Author Posted October 1, 2004 Thanks, Sure do what you desire, but I still have to finish chap 2, start 3 & 4, so a lot is missing until I finish it.
VampireNaomi Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Don't mention it, I really liked reading the story. We seem to write the same way, because I too write the first version in my own language, and then translate it into English.
El Virus Posted October 1, 2004 Author Posted October 1, 2004 It isn't easy ain't it. But my story is nothing compared to all you have written, your stories are great:D Do you own a copy of the game in english or in other language?

Your story is ten times better than my first GF story! You will do very well. I have an English copy of the game, we don't translate video games in my country. And you? A Spanish dub, perhaps?
El Virus Posted October 1, 2004 Author Posted October 1, 2004 Yes my game is in spanish, when I bought the game I didn't know it was going to be so good, if I had knwon that, I would have surely bought it in english, but the spanish translation is pretty good too.
VampireNaomi Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Yes, I have seen scenes of it in Spanish and I really like Salvador's voice. You mentioned that you know a shop that sells import games. Where are the games from? Do they work properly? I am interested because I am going to buy Grim Fandango for my Brazilian friend this Christmas, but I am not sure if the European version will work in her computer.
El Virus Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 They basically buy them on the US, so it's the same version. But I think they don't have GF as it isn't being sold any more. I went the other day to ask for The Last Express, but they don't have it, but they are going to see if they can get Broken Sword on some time.
VampireNaomi Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 That's a pity. My friend has been looking for the game, but hasn't found it anywhere. I guess I'll just have to take the risk and buy her a copy in Europe.
El Virus Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 I don't think there are going to be any differences. By the way, they might get BS by next month, but it's not certain. The best adventure games they have are "Runaway" & "Myst3: Exile". Have you ever played them?
VampireNaomi Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 No, I have never played those games, but I have thought about getting Runaway after the three BS games and Black Mirror.
El Virus Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 Too bad, I'll guess I'll have to choose then. , or just keep playing other games By the way, the web pages of both of you are great!
El Virus Posted October 12, 2004 Author Posted October 12, 2004 Hey just wanted you to know that on some days I'll post the second chapter, which is a mess as the first one, but what the hell.
