KaBuTaR Posted October 9, 2004 Share Posted October 9, 2004 ok well i'm relativley new to the game, after wanting to play for a year it finally wnet down enough in price so that i could buy it and not feel guilty. i've been thinking of the tka/smuggler combo wiht some scout/medic/pike (polearm IV) and maybe pistoleer thrown in... but i'm not sure anymore. firstly, is there any point if you dont' get smuggler missions? does anyone know if these missions will finally be implemented in the JTL expansion? secondly... i see a lot of ppl bashing pike - i dont understand why; right now i'm at Unarmed IV and dealing out ~200 damage while using pike with a modifed lance I usually get ~800 damage and have hit 1000 on occasion - and this was on Polearm III. lastly... i know the skill point limit means i cant do medic, scout, pistol and pike even just the basic ones... for tka when you get the advanced healing powers later on in the tree - does that mean that you can heal damage (ie dont need the medic) anymore? or is it only tendwound? hmm, i guess that's it. i was just considering pistoleer or pikeman as something extra to do - really not sure where to go with it. would pistoleer be helpful? last question. with the JTL stuff if you want to pilot can you still keep your classes, affiliations, Jedidom, etc? thanks in advance. i'm kinda confusd right now - it just seems like there isnt much point being smuggler if even the "Smuggler's Hideout" on dantooine doesn't give you smuggler missions lol. (the white bar not the black one) it might be usefull. novice medic is always handy... but if your fully buffed you dont need it. so if your buffed. and you have TKM... dont get medic. KaBuTaR Posted October 12, 2004 Author Share Posted October 12, 2004 thanks for the reply. that does clear some things up. i pretty muchdecided to go master tka/master smuggler and up one tree in pistoleer since i cant master all and take medic and a bit of scout too. i'm not sure if i'd need the scout but still... lol anyyyway. about the smuggler missions... werent there rumors you can work for Jabba or something in JTL smuggling spice under the empire's noses? or something? what about the "privateer" profession... that's gotta be good for something other than just having skills like smuggler does but not being able to do anything...
