Abolisher
Ace Antilles and I are still working on the Battle of Yavin Shipset. It includes three missions and covers events from the ANH movie. All three missions are nearly complete; the final level is the actual Battle of Yavin and it includes the trench run. Real movie sounds for the Battle of Yavin mission are already recorded, and Ace Antilles is working on recording sounds for the other two missions. I have been without a joystick for awhile, but a new one is coming in the mail. Ace Antilles has had some computer problems, and I'm not sure how he is doing with that. When I get my new joystick and when Ace gets his computer problems resolved, we will get the shipset finished. Sorry we're taking so long cloud . We will finish soon. Also, another thing we are waiting for is for Hernan Barreiro to make some ground OPTs for Tatooine and Yavin 4. You will get to experience some atmospheric flight in this shipset. Please be patient, we will finish it. I have some details on the shipset at my website. The link to my site is in my signature. ------------------ That's no moon, it's a SPAM Station Abolisher's Mission Command Outpost [This message has been edited by Abolisher (edited July 21, 2000).]
Guest Darth Massacator
Hey, thanks for the update, I was beginning to wonder what was going on. I could've sworn the right link was to Darksaber's Opt page. I've added your link to my bookmarks.
Guest OtanaMan
Will this Add-on come with an installer? Or do we have to install it ourselves manually? I don't know jack about editing. This is why I'm glad XWAU is coming with an installer. ------------------
Abolisher
OK, I just got an update from Ace Antilles. He seems to have his computer problems fixed and my joystick will be here in a few days. We will be working on the shipset soon. OtanaMan, the BOY Shipset will come with an installer as far as I know. I'm primarily working on just building missions. Ace is working with sounds, and he will also work with the final format of the shipset. I believe he plans to use the *.GOB format for the XWGob shipset utility. Whatever the case, you won't have to manually install the shipset. Instead, you will use a shipset utility such as XWGob to patch XWA. ------------------ That's no moon, it's a SPAM Station Abolisher's Mission Command Outpost

Guest Cloud
Thanks, but I have a question. Will you include music from the movie? Because it really sets the asmosphere when you go in to the trench and obi wan says "use the force luke". Also is it self extracting? Or do I need something? Guest OtanaMan
Yeah, please let it have the music. I remember the IMUSE from the DSII missions. Ironically, it didn't have any atmosphere. If only if had the music from ROTJ.
Ham Yoyo
If you can't wait you can fly the Trench Run in the Windows 95 version of X-Wing. I just played it the other day and it is awesome. Guest Cloud
I already few the mission(Deathstar for original X-Wing) 12 times or so. It had no movie feel though, but I like the music.
Guest Darth Massacator
I'm not sure if there's going to be music included in the game or not. You'd have to ask Ace or Abolisher that one. I'm about half-tempted to find a Win '95/98 version of X-Wing though. I have an older version of X-Wing but it isn't like the re-release.
Guest OtanaMan
You mean you still have the DOS version? I upgraded that one a long time ago. They sent me the 95/98 version. It was a hell of a lot better. I have two copies of 95/98 X-wing. It was really stupid. I sent in my old one to get the new one. It took so long that I bought the "X-wing Collector's Series" which has X-wing, TIE Fighter, and XvT: Flight School. A week later, the new one came from LucasArts. Anyway, now that I have XWA, I deleted X-wing.
