wow. i drop off the face of the earth for a few weeks and everything changes. Prior to the 1.1 patch, Battlefront became excruciating. Tribes: Vengance got released and so without remorse I gave the two fingers to Lucas and took up skiing for a bit. Then my 80GB Western Digital started yelling at me, claiming it ****ed my girlfriend and then kicked me in the crotch. Taking revenge, I decaptitated the Western Digital and sent off for a replacement.

 

Then we had to move.

 

Now I'm in my tasty new space age bachelor pad (+ one girlfriend), with a new XP Pro load on a minty fresh 120GB Seagate that still smells of plastic bubble wrap. One of my zombie minions let fly the rumor that Battlefront got patched to 1.1 during my short lived stint of playing T:V and the longer stint ofliving without a gaming PC (Dell Laptop + NWN is my very best friend).

 

So last night I reinstalled Battlefront and patched it up.

 

My goodness, I almost had to clean my chair. It's a whole new world. I played 5 maps straight wihtout so much as a hiccup from the server. My new cable connection is even better than the old connection. The browser is leaps and bounds better.

 

The only problem is I need to find some fly servers and decent people to play with. Last night the server was rather unpopulated, 4-5 people on a team. Great for Q3 CTF, bad for SW: Battlefront.

 

So, who lives in the Southern area (texas here) that wants to kill me over and over over?

check the x-fire sticky, and add those names to your friends list and its easier to track down people playing..

And if you have few servers only on the ingamebrowser list then go to the onlineoptions and switch to view all servers not only local ones.
