redphaser
Hi, I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I'm currently working with the Kotor mod tool to try to slow down the walking speed of my character (yes, I did say SLOW it down) to give it a more natural look. I went into the creaturespeed.2da file and changed some things (mostly trial and error). I got it to work temporarily, but whenever I went into one of the menus and came back, the effect was gone. I'm also not sure which string was the one that changes the player's walk speed. It looked like row 0 titled PC_Movement but I'm just not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hey redphaser, not sure if it would work or not, but in the appearance.2da file, there is a column named "moverate". I'm wondering if that would help. There are several speeds I can see that you can choose from: NOMOVE, WEE_FOLK, VSLOW, SLOW, NORMAL, FAST, VFAST, HUGE, GIANT Why it would be in app.2da I have no clue, but maybe it's one direction you could try? Raveth
hmm i think its some where in appearance.2da where you have to take up/slow down the speed hope that helps =) -Raveth
redphaser
Thanks a lot guys... it really helped out. I was able to slow down the walk animation, but the actual travel speed is the same, giving it that awful walk "slide" effect... thing... I'm currently trying to adjust the walk speed, but nothing is working. I tried modifying the creaturespeed.2da as well as other things in the appearance.2da files but nothing works. I've got it to where it doesn't look TOO bad, but it is still annoying.

So it's the actual 'animation' of the movement. Makes much more sense now as to why that column is in the app.2da. Thank you for the response. You answered a question I had...hehe
