Guest Rogue15
alright, enough of this rogue squadron badgering. Rogue Squadron was and still is the best star wars game for the nintendo 64. The pc, well, i'm doing something with the demo to benefit my website, i'm taking snapshots of the tie bombers, maybe that's why rogue squadron 3d came out, so people could take pictures of the different ships? The X-Wing Games are still cool, i bet they don't want to make another one just to tick us off, or they are sick of space games, or they got tired of x-wing, or they just hate us. Remember crix madine in x-wing? well, why is he a rebel before a new hope, and an imperial after a new hope (rogue squadron, the corellia level)? Um, your arre dealing iwth a canon issue. Star wars games are by far the lowest on the canoninity scale. In this order, with higher level takening prority over lower, Canon sources are: Star Wars movies Star Wars Radio Drama Star wars Novels of the movies The rset is EU or Expaned universe. and those levels (in my opinion) are: Novels (not the kiddie books {i.e. hand of vader}) Comics RPG games Technicle books (SWWT, SWVV) Games and finally Fan fics you have to used your own judgment and opion with any EU inconsitancies with canon. which the thing with Crix madine was. In fact, crix madine joined the rebellion shortly after Allderaan was blown

Rogue Squadron was and still is the best star wars game for the nintendo 64 ! where the hell have you had your head recently - up your ass ? Pod-Racer is not only the best Star Wras game on the 64, but the best racer Ive ever had the pleasure of playing ! The levels were all EXTREMELY well designed, the lack of weapons was not a lack at all, and the scenary, with things on the track, short cuts, tricks, not just racing lines. The pods themselves...... (drooling here people). I have recently traded my 64 back to a PS (yes - BACK to) and Pod Race is a game sorely missed, but I have FF7 and FF8 back - so HAHAHAHAHAHA !!! ------------------ Nove Squadron, Elite B-Wing flight group stationed aboard the MC Oracle, home of the tech library. Guest Cloud
What was bad about Rogue Squadron? It was fun, can't you appreciate arcade game play? Well I guess Rogue Squadron II is the only classic triogy game... I'm getting Starfighter hopefully (if I can find a ps2). Future X-Wing games? Give me more realistic laser graphics and sounds (opts) and a mission editor(let you do anything such as changing colors of the ship, Positioning ships, and stuff. These missions can be play in multiplayer.)all in one packet. Than again a TIE FIghter 2 wouldn't be bad. wouldn't be bad....
Guest paulbarnard
hey, Cmdr_DFMD, you're on to something. Racer is the only Episode I game that doesn't make me double over wanting to shoot myself. And it is a bit challenging (alright, I've debated on sledge hammering the Damn n64 sometimes.) plus it has no really annoying features except being a dificult game. Guest Sheldon
As far as an addon to XWA, Peter Leahy of TG who is their PR guy said this in a post: "TG did leave room in the story for an add-on for X-Wing Alliance however due to "market conditions" and the fact that several other recent add-ons have only been marginally profitable it was a business decision by LucasArts not to pursue it. Only a small number of original purchasers buy add-ons generally less than 10% so unless you sell millions of copies or short change the quality they almost always loose money in today's market Peter" So, you see, it wasn't TG's choice. It was a business decision. Money. And you have to remember that making a game or designing missions costs lots of money, because the guys doing the work have to get a paycheck, and it the company continues to make addons and upgrades without a steady profit, they go out of business. Makes sense to me. Salute! ------------------ Nob --"Computer..begin auto destruct sequence. Authorization, Akimoto 4-7 alpha tango..." Guest Rogue15
Cmdr_DFMD, Hey, i'm not saying racer is bad, i like that game too, i never even said it wasn't the best game on the n64. It's one of my favorites too!!! Alrigth, i'll just tell you all my favorites: Rogue Squadron Racer Shadows of the Empire Turok 3 Turok Rage Wars Star Wars racer was the ultimate ride, it is still the ultimate racing game. Escpecially with all the racers you get to choose from, my favorite being Ody Mandrell, and i loved that level straight from the movie!! especially forcing the annoying podracers down into the sarlacc pit. hehehehe, the next podracing/racing game they make should have a rancor that you could fly by or wreck into, that would be so funny!!!!! Rogue Squadron and Star wars Racer are the best star wars games on the nintendo 64. I can't wait to play Battle For Naboo, it looks so awesome!! Guest DarthHulkster
The only 2 good things about rouge squadron is that it had good 3d design on SOME ships and it was so far the only lucasarts game to include a naboo fighter. And about racer and RG being the best Star Wars N64 games? Everyone knows that Shadows of the Empire is the best. It have that blend of flying a ship and first person shooting. It's a blend of all N64 star wars games. You get to do an atmospheric mission, first person shooting, and racing. The only difference so far is space fighting (but Battle for Naboo will change that). Besides, the best racing game ever made (i'm debating between the 2) Gran Turismo 2 and Need for Speed series. And the best N64 game (everyone knows) is Goldeneye all the way.
