Juha Avery
How can i change the color of a saber or crystal to something different than it is. I downloaded t7's new model hilts and i jsut loved the anakin's replica hilt and i really would like that one red, but i couldnt change the color Could someone do it for me or just shortly tell how to change the color cause how ive heard it should be very easy with this new kotor tool. deathdisco
There are two ways to do this: 1st: In Kotor Tool ERFs->TexturePacks->swpc_tex_tpa.erf extract w_lsabrered01 and rename it w_lsabreturq01. The only problem is that this will also make the Mantle of the Force crystal red also. 2nd: You can hex edit the lightsaber model to use the a red blade texture. Anakin's hilt points to w_lsabreturq01. NOTE: w_lsabreturq01 is 14 characters. You would have to rename w_lsabrered01 IE: w_lsabrered011. Then replace all references to w_lsabreturq01 with w_lsabrered011 It would also require a new .txi file to go with the blade texture.

T7nowhere
You can also use the renamer function in mdlop 4 to change the texture name. SImply load up a model hit the read button, let it do its thing then a new window will pop up with all the Texture entries when your done hit write model and rename the files back to the original. deathdisco
Ah yes, new functions. Good to know. That's easier than mucking around with a hex-editor.
