patizambo Posted December 7, 2004 Share Posted December 7, 2004 when i start up cmi launcher v2.0 appears a message of error: unable to open the key "system/currentcontrolset/... /directsound/mixerdefaults" the same on the option windows xp cutscene fix in the cmi launcher menu anyway the game starts ok til the image freeze please, tell me something else than reinstall i have the same problem with scummvm, i mean it also get freeze Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Benny Posted December 8, 2004 Share Posted December 8, 2004 Read the readme: On some systems it may not be possible to read the acceleration level to apply the cutscene fix, if this happens try running DirectXDiag (Start>Run>Dxdiag>Sound tab) changing the acceleration level there and then running the launcher again.
