richo
Hi all This is the first game I have played in a long time and the only one I have ever played online. I don't want to sound too stupid but I was wondering what does SDK stand for and what will it mean for a SWBF gamer like me? By reading some earier posts it seems you can create your own mods to the game, but if everyone starts doing their own maps etc how will I keep up and know which ones to install and which ones to avoid. Also what happens if the servers I play on don't have the same mods as I have. While I am writing this post I may as well ask another noob question, I know how to roll sideways but how do you roll forwards? I understand this post is a bit of a mish mash but if anybody can shed some light it would be great. Thanks in advance Richo
Alegis
SDK means Software Development Kit Publisher releases tools to make, edit models etc and import them in the game. Mods are placed in an extra folder and files from mods will override default game files by execution. In other words, add stuff or edit them. Most mods require the server and the clien to have them. In case you got the mod in your folder and you connect to a server with that mod (those who don't have it will have to dl it) you'll play the game with that mod. Extra models or map, changes in textures or code... one needs SDk to import stuff in the game, and a game has to support mods as well. (which SWBF isn't atm) You cannot roll forwards, only sidewards. but just walk sidewards and roll, its what I do.

SDK stands for software Develloping Kit and allows us to create our own maps, models, vehicles characters ect.... If someone want to play usermade maps online he need to make sure that he have the needed stuff installed. Otherwise he won´t be able to join . and you can roll sidewards but not forwards.
