Ideas for special units & advantages

ALL: Base defense requires power core to operate. Buildings have less hit points. Anti-air defense is less powerful.

Gungans: Very long range artillery ships. Troop Transport with cloaking ability.

Trade Federation: Regular units take up less space in troop transporters. Droid and droid troop units cost 25% less, are faster to produce, but have very little armor. A ship that comes with 20 droid offensive units, each with one hit point.

Empire: Imperial Battlecruisers. TIE Fighters are faster and harder to hit. TIE Bombers have either more armor or do more damage with their attacks.

Rebellion: X-Wings are able to take more damage. Artillery base defense structure similar to the turrets found in "The Empire Strikes Back" that can hit both ground and air to replace their present base defense structures.

Wookies: More initial melee damage. Special unit that is able to cloak itself. Animals will not attack Wookies and if within range of Wookies that are being attacked, will fight for them.

Naboo: Fast scout ship with little attack damage. Unit that can create duplicates of other units that have no attack damage and are destroyed when attacked or detected.

Of course this is only a couple of minutes of brainstorming so it may have to be thought out a little bit more.

*I posted this in the General Discussion, but figured that it probably makes more sense to post it here.

I agree on the TIE Fighter / TIE Bomber ideas.

Another thought is that Wookies should be able to walk through forested areas.

I like the Trade Federation idea. Only problem is that they (LA) would have to adjust the whole unit cap to offset the cheap factor of the droids. They could have each droid only count as 1/2 unit or something of that nature. That way you could get the feeling of a very large droid army like in TPM but still make it balanced.

Jedi's need to cost a lot to train. In the SW universe it takes a good 20 years (give or take a few) to become a full fledged Jedi. But it only takes a few months to train a soldier. So, the "cost" (training time) should reflect this.

you cant pop 10 jedi off "just like that"..they cost 250 nova crystals!!! and u saying they take forever to train reflects the upgrades to jedi knight then master which cost alot and take a while because you dont advance from age to age in 5 minutes

About that unit count.....what if it is like starcraft with the zergling

When a 'ling pops out u get two but at only a cost of 1 unit count

Then you could have massive armies of droids:D

And the wookie idea is cool cos that would probably stop those poofs who use forests to wall off their bases.
