how do you use the Kotor Tool Custom item tab

i heave done several searches to try and find a answer to this and read just about every tutorial concerning items posted in the stick thread here (still possible i overlooked this but)

i have been trying and trying to figure out how in the world to use the custom items tab in the kotor tool...

here is how u get to it.

go to your rim section, chose the module, then find a merchant and double click them. in the bottom left of the window is a inventory button. click that and u get a new window with a current list of items they sell, and on ur left is a list of items possible to add to them. at the very top of the window of items u can add to the merchant is 2 tabs, the second one saying custom items. every time i click on this i get a blank grey box...

now my guess is i have to put a file somewhere that the program reads when it starts up and adds to my custom item window but i have yet to figure out where or if thats the problem. i have also tried using the project manager to put everything in recognized directories hoping the program would pick it up (also making sure i right clicked and chose add file into the project manager) and still nothing

could anyone that knows how to use this plz tell me how? right now its easier for me to use the gff editor then trying to use kotor tool, which the exception of extracting files.

i did find a very useful link posted by darth333

http://nwn.bioware.com/developers

which opens a page containting .pdf or .doc files whichever u want, of all the different aspects of the aurora engine. which is very helpful for items and merchants cuz it explains each in seperate docs covering the full commands of them.

so i can do it with the gff just fine, but the kotor tool custom item tab i would like to know how to use and try to make things a little simpler

I think I recall seeing something in Fred's help tutorial that comes with kotor tool. If I recall correctly the custom items are supposed to be detected from your overide folder. Or it could be the root directory for kotor tool. I could be wrong on those factors it could be another of the WIP features on kotor tool.
