Help with Microsoft update

Ok so i want to download this DirectX 9.0c Hotfix which fixes lots of DirectX stuff. Download link here:

But Microsoft said it requires this in order to install the DirectX 9.0c Hotfix.

 

When i try installing it it tells me this:

 

WEUpdate cannot retrieve information needed for setup from database.

 

Setup cannot continue.

 

Wtf is wrong? I just installed SP2 btw, and it didnt work with SP1

I just noticed winUpdate wasnt working tonite either. id give a day or so crowski, it might be the site.

So you mean the installer needs to connect to a website to install but that website is down? And that website is Windows Update? Thats impossible i visited Windows Update like 5 or 7 times tonight already. I can assure you the website is perfectly fine.

Well maybe its YOUR internet connection thats having a problem somwhere. Cause my Windows Update is fine.

 

And make sure you also have the latest version of Internet Explorer cause its required to view the site!
