Aesalon Posted December 15, 2000 Posted December 15, 2000 Is it just me, or did the ending of this game ruin it completely? I was in love with it till I complete the death star mission and ONLY GET A MEDAL! No plot conclusions, family issues resolved or anything. Did I miss something?
Guest JC_DeadEye Posted December 15, 2000 Posted December 15, 2000 Yeah, the ending was just begging for an expansion. But that will never happen now.
Guest garyah99 Posted December 15, 2000 Posted December 15, 2000 Join the club. We ALL thought the ending sucked.
Guest Thrawn Posted December 16, 2000 Posted December 16, 2000 people are still playing XWA for the first time? woah! ------------------ "Nearly 100% of all divorces are caused by marriage." ThRaWn90,RAL_Thrawn,SOB_Thrawn Rogue 6
Admiral Odin Posted December 17, 2000 Posted December 17, 2000 Maybe it took him a long time to bet the game, or just felt like he had to say it. ------------------ "Dulce bellum inexpertis." (Sweet is war to those who have never experinced it.) Roman Proverb
Guest Cloud Posted December 18, 2000 Posted December 18, 2000 The game was rushed after all... with all those bugs and everything.
JR2000Z Posted December 20, 2000 Posted December 20, 2000 We DID get to see the Death Star II explode.
Aesalon Posted December 25, 2000 Author Posted December 25, 2000 I beat it about 9-10 months ago. I just felt it the need to express my rage and finally I found away. To share my rage amongst others who feel the same way. I just wanted more substance to the ending. To see what happened with the family, sister, bro, uncle, and even that annoying bot Emmkay. Instead, all I get treated to is a medal ceremony. Blech...
Guest M.A. 2000 Posted December 25, 2000 Posted December 25, 2000 Just some info for anyone who doesn't know this, and hate Totally Games for an unfinished game without any add-ons/sequels: Totally Games are not the responsible company for this. They can start a new X-Wing project anytime, the only thing they need is another Star Wars license and Lucas(f)arts to publish it. Although TG said that they are in a good relationship with LucasArts right now, I don't think LucasArts have the mood to release another X-Wing flight sim . X-Wing Trilogy is nothing special either, it's simply X-Wing Collector's CD bundled with X-Wing Alliance.
Jem Posted December 29, 2000 Posted December 29, 2000 I say "Tie Fighters" rules as a flight game for SW
JR2000Z Posted December 31, 2000 Posted December 31, 2000 Man.We had this same subject for YEARS and it is still going. They could at least tell how the Uncle die at the debreffing.
Guest Kai Posted January 1, 2001 Posted January 1, 2001 I just started playing, this game is awesome! and now I know the ending ------------------ "42"
Guest eojhan Posted January 4, 2001 Posted January 4, 2001 Oh good. I'm not the only one perplexed and bewildered as to why a game that was so good and detailed completely neglected to follow-up on everything that happened in the storyline! I thought for a moment that I missed some hidden secrets.
Guest DancingFrog Posted January 6, 2001 Posted January 6, 2001 xwa is a nice game but when u end it ,it start to be boring
Aesalon Posted February 4, 2001 Author Posted February 4, 2001 I simply wanted to tie all the loose ends up... nothing more. A freakin' medal ceremony... it made me want to snap the CD's in half because I was so pissed off. *sigh* Whatever. They better fix that in their future games. - Aesalon
Guest Ze Ayatolahawk of Anarchy Posted February 5, 2001 Posted February 5, 2001 I have played to the family bugging sat. statino mission. i dont want to know the ending no matter how f'ing cheesy it is. ------------------ Ze Ayatolahawk of Anarchy Never kick sumbodies ass unless you are sure there are a thousand more benefits apart from having the benefit.
Guest TIE_pilot Posted February 8, 2001 Posted February 8, 2001 I never really finished the game. The run in the DS messes up REALLY badly. It could have been the dumb pirated version I got. When I was just flying along, all of the sudden everything went totally black. I could travel anywhere. There were no barriers and it was black except for wedge. I used invincible and it worked, but never without the cheat. I got the patch too, if you were wondering. ------------------ "You Rebel Scum."

Gold leader Posted February 8, 2001 Posted February 8, 2001 You imperial scum. Using a pirate version huh? The "all black thing" is a known bug though. You should have taken the right exit. [This message has been edited by Gold leader (edited February 08, 2001).]
K_Kinnison Posted February 8, 2001 Posted February 8, 2001 If you liek the game enuf.. BUY it!!!! it only costs $20 now... sheesh dam ingratful cheepskate. I feel like finding a hacker and paying him to delete it off your HD... but that is jsut me. I have allways paid for games i liked. It is an insult to the game makers (even if they screw the game up) to pirate it. It jsut means you liek the game, but dont want to pay for it
Guest TIE_pilot Posted February 9, 2001 Posted February 9, 2001 I know I know. Sorry. I have been meaning to buy it though. And I feel like I betrayed Lucas. But I'm 14 and no job. Ya $20, but I bought other things. Like stuff for school. And I lived in Asia at the time when it came out so that was the only thing I could get. I do really want to buy the real thing now though. But I only got $5. The black thing though happened at the beginning. How would you fix that though? I got the latest patch. ------------------ "You Rebel Scum." K_Kinnison Posted February 9, 2001 Posted February 9, 2001 there ycould be many problems with a pirated version of XWA. Corrupted file for one. Sorry, but you gota lemon for free. If your 14 and need money, ask your parnets what you can do for work around the house for extra $$. they will be GLAD to help you out in that way since it will be something you EARNED. in a week or so, you should have enuf money to get the X-wing trilogy

Guest Expert Rookie Posted February 12, 2001 Posted February 12, 2001 I was purty disappointed at the ending also. The Death Star Mission didn't impress me and ya never know what happens to Uncle Antan like y'all say. Ya know what I think.. that the Azzameen family all die when the Death Star blows up the Liberty!
Guest TIE_pilot Posted February 14, 2001 Posted February 14, 2001 I got plenty of money around the house. Thats how I got this computer. I just feel like I'm taking to much from them. O well, I will get it sometime.soon and sorry about that double post. don't know how that got their. ------------------ "You Rebel Scum."
