After a mission where you look up the stats, you are told how many ships you killed. However next to it, in brackets, is often a number that seems to have no relevence to anything whatso ever , eg: Kills: 4 (2) ++++ Assists: 2 (3) ++ Now I know that it is not an assists figure, and it has nothing to do with the "kill" figures, so just what the hell does it represent?
