vyvexthorne
all I want to do is extract the pc heads, turn them into tga files and mess with them......how do i do that. I've downloaded many programs which don't seem to help in transfering the files from mla to tga. help, help, help. maybe i'm trying to extract the wrong files. I downloaded a version of the bearded head four and have had fun playing with eyecolor and making the hair and eyes different colors. Now if only I could extract all versions of the heads i would be happy. or maybe someone would be kind enough to zip up all heads and send them to me. I'm sure it is an easy process i just can't figure it out. thanks

vyvexthorne
Sorry I said the wrong file name MDL. to TGA. I can extract all files just fine. The file i'm trying to extract from is player bif. Is that not correct? Are the tga faces hid somewhere else? I've sifted and sifted but to no avail. I can usually figure this stuff out on my own. Guess i'm just frustrated and want an easy fix. I'll keep on searching the internet and reading instructions, but oh how I despise doing so. I'm a button pusher not a reader. Darth333
Would you rather mean .tpc to .tga? Here is an extract from the general itro to modding tutorial, Getting started with modding: Tools + downloads: Textures are located in ERFs -> Texture Packs. Texture Packs. The textures located in swpc_tex_gui.erf are best used for icons and portraits (for the party selection table) mostly and some other stuff as well. The high - res textures are located in swpc_tex A The med - res textures are located in swpc_tex B The low - res textures are located in swpc_tex C You'll find more details in the Skinning and Modeling tutorials
