Mav
New Saber Model Hey look it's actually a mod for KotOR 1!!! Anyway: Download Here Readme file for: Saber of the Beholder Screenshot: http://img213.exs.cx/img213/3315/ingame1zd.jpg This is a new saber model for KotOR 1. Saber stats: Same as a normal saber ***INSTALLATION*** Due to the uniqueness of this saber I have allowed you to pick what color you wish your saber ot be. This means that you extract everything in the "For OVerride" folder into your KotOR Directory, Override folder. THEN pick which color you want and extract those files into you override folder too. Then follow the instructions below to 2da edit your upcrystals file. To uninstall just remove the files. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ *^*^*^*^ INSTRUCTIONS ^*^*^*^* 1. To make it upgradeable- -Download Fred Tetra's KotOR Tool, you'll find it invaluable -Open KotOR Tool and click the 2da icon and load your upcrystals.2da file from you Override folder. -If this is the first upcrystals.2da file you use you will have to extract it from KotOR Tool, to do that do this: Click BIFs->2da.bif->2D Array->upcrystals.2da->Extract file button, save it to your Override folder. -Once you open the upcrystals.2da file fill out the columns exactly as it is shown below (note:you may want to make your notepad view wider so that the 2 rows line up properly): (Row Label)------| label | template |shortmdlvar| longmdlvar |doublemdlvar| Enter the next # | Prism |g_W_prsmcrstl01| **** | g_W_prsmsbr01 | **** | -Save by clicking File--> Save as 2DA v2.b --> and save into your Override folder **IMPORTANT** Be sure that after you enter your new row data to click on a previous row before saving or the save will not register the new row. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** IN-GAME PLACEMENT*** Sorry, but due to TSL I didn't have the time to do what I wanted with placement, maybe I'll do it later, but most likely I wont. so for now to get the saber do the following. Open up the cheat console and type: giveitem g_w_prsmsbr01 *** ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS *** svösh-For his guidance, his awesome tutorials, and for allowing me to use his custom shader for my saber. Juha Avery
I would have preferred it to be more shinier But this looks cool too. Maybe someday you can edit it more and put it in TSL where everything is shinier
Mav
you know you could always make it "more shinier" by yourself, just take the texture file and adjust the alpha channel to your pleasing , but the reason I didn't do it is because I like the way it looks and because the "more shinier" you make it the less detailed the model becomes.
