KotOR1: Resurrect Juhani?

I'm finally playing KotOR after getting a new machine. I've been playing through the game for a while before finding this forum, and I'm about 3/4 through it (got 3 starmaps, and halfway thru the Korriban level). I kept wondering when I would get the party member to fill the last available slot. After finding an NPC guide, I learned the missing person was Juhani. I searched to find where she joins the team and learned it was on Dantooine, which in my game is now gone.

 

Turns out when I found her early in the game, she failed to turn Light, so she died. I didn't know she was so important. Now I've played most of the game without her, and I really miss the experience of having her on the team.

 

I don't want to replay the game yet. I had an old saved game from before I fought her, and figured out how to save her. I would like to add her to my current game, e.g., by placing her on the Ebon as if she had never been used since Dantooine, then adding her to a party and leveling her up. Is there a way to do this?

 

I found no way in KSE to add a missing NPC. I'm guessing the difference is in PartyTable.res. I tried Kotor Tool and the NWN GFF Editor, but saw no way to do this. Can anyone help? I want my Juhani!

Actually KSE is how you would want to aproach it however what you want to play with and tweak are the global variables both boolean and numeric. Also Darth333 has her party manager spawning armband which can add juhani into the game or you.

Thanks. I'll look further. I opened KSE again and found DAN_JUHANI_JOINED=0 in my current game and =1 when I went back to the old Dantooine game and replayed it, saving Juhani.

 

If anyone has suggestions about which settings to change, please post. I'll find out if changing the globals can cause her branch of the NPC tree to appear.

Update: I looked for all the globals and numerics that seemed related to Juhani and set their values in my current game to the values I obtained by running the old Dantooine game and saving her. This did not cause her to magically appear in the current game.

 

I took your advice and used Darth333's excellent "spawnband". This filled her slot in the party member screen -- exactly what I wanted. She seemed to level up just fine when I activated her. We'll see if her subplots, etc. now work.
