mrdefender
Suffice it to say that spells.2da is quite popular with TSL mods, I was wondering if there was an easier way to edit them? At the moment I'm using kotor tool to add all the new entries in spells.2da to one file (so i can use all of the mods). It's somewhat... long... I've got 2 2da files open in kotor tool at the same time and I can't copy a row from 1 file into a new row in the 2nd file. I've got to add the row from a mod into the spells.2da file that will hold all the mods in manually and its very very long Is there something I can do to do this faster? any help is greatly appreciated!! Darth333
Actually .2da files are one of the easiest type of file to edit. You can't copy/paste an entire row from one file to another but you can copy/paste one box at a time. What I often do is that I copy/paste a similar line within the same spells.2da file and just edit the entries that have to be edited. Note that is you are moving the rows for force powers such as my lightsaber floating force power, you need to edti the .nss file and recompile the script. The lines that have to be changed are the following: int FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER1 = 282; int FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER2 = 283; int FORCE_POWER_D3_SABER3 = 284; The number at the end has to correspond to the line in spells.2da. I'll be releasing the first version of the AIOFPM for TSL tomorrow evening that will regroup some of the mods that have been done and some new ones. stoffe
While it may be somewhat annoying to open/close files that much, it is possible to copy entire rows with the KotorTool 2da editor between files if you open them in the same editor window. Open the first 2da file, rightclick on the left margin and choose Copy Row in the menu. Open the other 2da file in the same window, rightclick in the margin and select Paste Row. Works fine.
